HSC offices in Norfolk
About us
It all began back in 1985 with a tray of 297 glass bottles that we sold to students at the College of Homeopathy. The business has now grown into a limited company with 7 employees and purpose built premises in the village of Bodham, North Norfolk.
We’re as true to our values today as we were when we set out, adopting an approach to business that supports customers, suppliers and charities alike – even the teabags we use here are organic and fairtrade. We also do what we can to adopt working practices that minimise any impact on our environment.
Success has been rooted in the quality of the products and customer service. From the beginning we were conscious that our customers were people exactly like ourselves, confronting all the same issues of self-employment and learning how to earn a living from the service they provide. This innovative approach to discussing business experience has become a hallmark of HSC. The catalogue and newsletter is eagerly awaited for its philosophical content as much as for the products we offer.
We hope this website is a simple way of finding out about our products and our service. You can decide whether to order online or call us at the office on 01263 588788. If you don’t already have a copy of our latest catalogue you can click here to request one or download it to your computer now.
Meet the staff
Robert enjoys conversing about all things homeopathic, metaphysical and, his particular passion, energy psychology and meridian tapping techniques such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). A self-confessed smoothie addict, he enjoys delving into the world of whole foods and organic gardening. When not tempting us with recipes such as Chocolate Avocado Mousse, Robert is exploring the Norfolk countryside on a tandem bicycle with his wife, Anne.
Anne is the fount of all knowledge in the office and is known for her super organisational skills! She acts as office manager and keeps us all on schedule. Outside of work, Anne can be found working on local charity committees, knitting marvellous jumpers or baking delicious cakes. We’re still not sure how she manages to fit it all into her day!
Known as Yoda around the workplace, what Sue doesn’t know about bottles, caps and dispensers is not worth knowing. Besides keeping the boys in the office on the straight and narrow, her greatest asset is her problem-solving skills. In her spare time, Sue enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and doing as little exercise as possible!
Denise first came to work for us one day a week and she loved it so much she now works three days! She is responsible for answering customer enquiries and making sure that your parcel arrives quickly and safely. Outside of work, Denise loves spending time with her two grandsons and working on her cross-stitch. She admits her biggest weakness is her refusal to ride on the tandem – sorry, Robert!
Alan is our resident computer geek and gets excited by all things Apple. He is the brains behind the new website and has a passion for spreadsheets that borders on concerning. When not in the office, he’s jetting off to Australia to visit his girlfriend, though she admits she thinks he’s there mainly for the surf.
Ben provides constant entertainment for the office! Between chatting up Denise and hiding his junk food habit from Robert, he is responsible for our product photography and working on our website. Ben is permanently attached to an iPod and develops selective hearing when an international parcel needs to be packed – don’t worry, Sue has a toy crossbow to keep him in line.
Mark is the youngest member of our team and has worked with us for three years. He enjoys getting techie with the website development and keeping our online shop up to date with interesting new products. A huge Arsenal fan, Mark spends his spare time arguing with Steve the postman about football and exploring Norfolk with Ben in his inflatable boat.
