Aconite is useful in the early stages of colds, fevers and inflammation. Particularly as a result of being exposed to a cold/dry wind or from experiencing a fright or shock. Complaints often come on suddenly and are very intense. May be useful for teething babies which are also showing symptoms of fever.

Symptoms may include: Extreme restlessness and fear. Dry, hot skin. Symptoms may be worse in the evening/around midnight. Thirsty for cold drinks. Food and drink tastes bitter, except water. May feel better for fresh air. Patient does not want to be touched.
