We reserve the right to deduct an amount from any refund if the value of the goods has been diminished due to handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, or functioning.
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return.
Discretionary returns outside of 14 days:
We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. If you wish to return an item outside of the standard 14-day cancellation window, please contact us. Provided the item is unused, unopened, and in resalable condition (and does not fall under the hygiene exclusions listed above), we may accept the return at our discretion.
In such cases, a restocking fee will apply to cover the original shipping cost and any associated transaction fees. This will be deducted from your refund amount. Acceptance of discretionary returns and the level of the restocking fee will be confirmed upon request.
VAT/Duties
Our prices remain the same irrespective of where you live, with a single global price for each product, inclusive of all relevant VAT charges. If you live outside of the EU, for example, the Channel Islands, then your price will already include the absence of VAT charges.
This means that your price will not change even if your local VAT rate is different from the UK rate.
If you are a VAT registered trader, we can provide a VAT receipt in respect of the items purchased. Please note that some items are not VAT rated e.g. Books. Any VAT receipts will be made out to the hsc account holder and sent to the address quoted on the account.
If you are ordering goods from outside the UK, please be aware you may be liable to pay any or all local import taxes and duties upon delivery. It is the customers responsibility to be aware of these specific costs before ordering. If you require assistance in calculating these costs, please contact us and we will be happy to help. If for any reason your parcel is returned to us due to a failure of paying these fees, your order will be refunded less the cost of shipping or re-delivery can be arranged for a further fee. We reserve the right to charge any fees associated with the return of a refused parcel back to the customer.
