Gelsemium is ideal for giving to a male dog to reduce sex drive if there is a female in heat in the household, or they can smell one nearby. You still need to keep them separated so that no unwanted mating occurs during the bitch's 'mating days', usually the 12th to 14th day of her season, though some vary.
When not going to mate my bitch, my stud would pester her and stop eating when she was well in heat.
Now, if no mating is required, I start giving the stud one tablet a day when the bitch starts her season. Up to two a day if his attention-seeking increases and he appears to be losing his appetite.
Since using Gelsemium, he is less bothered by her and does not go off eating, so he keeps his condition.

The product is great but the screw tops to these containers are useless. Mine keeps falling off so I lose some of the pillules.I have to stick it on with tape
